    Episode 08 - Carried

In this episode of the WALKING FOR PEACE PODCAST, Alberto and I reflect on the many ways we were cared for, guided, and supported during the early days of our pilgrimage from Rome to Jerusalem.

As we revisit these stories twenty-five years later, a deeper theme begins to emerge. Beyond the practical challenges of finding shelter, transportation, food, and safety, we were being invited into a profound lesson in trust.

Alberto shares the remarkable series of events that seemed to confirm, again and again, that his needs would be provided for: a gifted tent, unexpected kindness from strangers, and the discovery of a Franciscan tradition of welcoming pilgrims.

At the same time, I was facing my own fears of walking alone, sleeping outdoors, and learning to trust a Presence that seemed to be quietly smoothing the way before me.

Together, we explore what it means to surrender the belief that we must manage every detail ourselves, and to discover instead that we are being carried by something far greater than our personal plans, fears, and uncertainties.

Through the lens of A Course in Miracles, we reflect on trust, guidance, receiving help, and the gentle undoing of the self-sufficient identity that believes it must walk alone and control all things itself.

This is a conversation about providence, courage, and the countless ways Love meets us on the path when we are willing to take the next step.

For anyone facing uncertainty, transition, or a call into the unknown, may this episode serve as a reminder that we do not walk alone... and never have.

With love and gratitude for all who walk with us.

    Mony and Alberto

    Episode 07 - Relating

In this episode of the WALKING FOR PEACE PODCAST, ‪@AlbertoAgraso‬ and I explore one of the most human aspects of any spiritual journey: the challenge of relating when life is calling us into the unknown. As we reflect on the early days of our pilgrimage from Rome to Jerusalem, we revisit the fears that arose as we stepped away from familiar identities and into a path we could not fully understand.Alberto shares his fear of hurting those he loved through his decision to join the pilgrimage. I speak about my fear of rejection, of not being taken seriously, and of losing the professional identity that had given me purpose, recognition, and security.Looking back through the lens of A Course in Miracles, we can see how these fears were not caused by the people or circumstances around us, but by the thoughts and self-images we were still trying to protect. We explore what it means to relate—to family, friends, strangers, the future, ourselves, and ultimately to God—when the foundations of identity begin to shift. This conversation touches on forgiveness, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the fear of letting go, and the continual invitation to return to Love, which is our true Identity. For anyone who has ever felt caught between an old life and an emerging calling, this episode offers a heartfelt reflection on the journey from fear to trust, and from separation to joining. With love and gratitude for all who walk beside us.Mony and Alberto

    Episode 06 - Exodus

In this episode of the WALKING FOR PEACE PODCAST, Alberto and I reflect on the deeply symbolic events that surrounded the beginning of our pilgrimage from Rome to Jerusalem in November 2001.We revisit the powerful experiences that guided us in those first days — from me (Mony) arriving in Rome alone, to staying at a monastery dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, to receiving an unexpected “blessing” through Pope John Paul II’s message on the Song of Moses and the crossing of the Red Sea.As we contemplate these events twenty-five years later through the lens of A Course in Miracles and the symbolic nature of the world, we explore the possibility that the pilgrimage itself was an “exodus”: a movement away from fear, separation, judgment and outer striving… and toward trust, guidance, forgiveness, and the remembrance of our shared Identity.Alberto also shares the profound experience that sealed his decision to join the walk — a moment that made it unmistakably clear that we were being called to take this journey together. This is a conversation about symbols, guidance, synchronicity, spiritual awakening, and the loving Presence that quietly leads us across the inner wilderness, one step at a time. With love and gratitude for all who walk with us.Buen camino!Mony and Alberto* * * #walkingforpeace #walkforpeace #pilgrimage #innerjourney #podcast #podcast #monydojeiji #albertoagraso #acim #acourseinmiracles #exodus #caminodesantiago

    Episode 05 - Alberto (part 2)

Alberto and I pick up our conversation where we left off last time, in Finisterre.

He speaks about the inner turmoil he was feeling at that time, the signs encouraging him to TRUST, how these signs led him to Germany, and how the threads were woven for us to meet once again and affirm that he is to walk to Jerusalem with me.

    Offered, as always, with love.

    Episode 04 - Alberto (part 1)

I may have started my pilgrimages alone, but I certainly didn’t finish alone.

Many of you who have been walking alongside us all these years, listening to our stories, being part of our conversations about the inner journey, the spiritual aspects of pilgrimage…. know very well who ‪@AlbertoAgraso‬ is.

But, rather than me telling you about him, I thought: why not have him share his story directly. His story is very rich and deeply meaningful, and in his telling it, it's easy to see how the threads were woven to bring us to that fateful encounter in Finisterre, at the end of the world and end of the Camino, where we would first meet.

The hour passed way too quickly, with much more to talk about! That will be for our next episode.

We hope you enjoy our conversation.

    With love,

    Mony and Alberto

Episode 03 - The Inner Guide

In this episode, I speak in depth about the Inner Guide and Teacher, who I presented in previous episodes.

This loving Presence has lovingly and patiently guided my journey, even when I wasn't aware of His Presence or even believed He existed. This Friend brought me:

    - A channeled message from my angels to let me know I wasn't alone in my darkest hour.
    - The women who had walked before me for peace, so that I would draw strength and inspiration from theem.
    - A walking partner - ⁨@AlbertoAgraso - who would serve my inner journey, as I would for him.
    - A vision of peace without opposites, and of my True Identity beyond bodies and limits I have imposed.
    - And more!
Shared, as always, with love and gratitude for the Way, and for its Guide.

Episode 02 - The Call for Peace

In this episode, I reflect on the inner journey that unfolded through and beyond our pilgrimage from Rome to Jerusalem 25 years ago.

What began as a desire to help create peace in the world gradually became a much deeper exploration into the nature of perception, separation, forgiveness, and the healing of the mind.

I share how I was guided to the teachings that would help me understand the true cause of peace, and of conflict. From White Eagle, Conversations with God, Ho’oponopono, and ultimately A Course in Miracles... they all helped transform my understanding of peace—from something we attempt to establish externally, to an inner state that begins with the willingness to see differently and to heal the idea of "otherness" and separation.

May it serve all who feel called to #peace, healing, and a deeper remembrance of our shared Identity.

    With love,

    Mony

    Episode 01 - I am willing

The walk for peace from Rome to Jerusalem took place within a larger context of changes that were taking place in the life of Mony during that time, in 2001.

In this episode, Mony describes these inner and outer changes. She introduces the idea of BEING WILLING to see things differently - from a paradigm or thought system that does not change with changes in outer circumstances - as a foundation for understanding #peace.

Episode 00 - Walking for Peace 25-year Anniversary Welcome!

It seems incredible to me now that the 5000-km walk for peace from Rome to Jerusalem that I embarked on with Alberto was 25 years ago!

It feels like it was just yesterday!

Reading my diaries, going through the pictures and the mementos... made me feel like I was right there once again, experiencing many of the same emotions, recalling all that the moment held.

I recorded this short video while walking in the park, but my hope is to open a space here to do weekly audios (maybe even YouTube livestreams) on what it means to walk for peace, 25 years later:

What is #peace? What does it even mean? How do we attain it and maintain it, no matter the appearances of the outer world?

These, and many more topics and stories, I look forward to exploring here.

I invite you to join me on this journey not just down memory lane to relive the stories, but also on a contemplative journey where we open our minds and hearts to another way of seeing things, and where we can invite a more expanded awareness to enter our lives and have a seat at the table.

    Blessings, and buen camino!

    Mony
