I was a bit reflective this week on the podcast, and for good reason! Nate and I are celebrating 30 years of marriage while also walking into a new season of the house growing quieter. I’ll share what I’m learning about the quiet and what the quiet stirs in us, if we’ll let it.

Today we will let several places in Scripture remind us of all the reasons that we have to rest in our King and His Kingdom, especially when it’s time to lay our head down on our pillow at night. Why is this so often when our minds race, our worries stir, and our doubt rise? 

I share about some of my own struggles with sleep, but how learning to shift my mind and heart to truth (in addition to a couple of practical habits that partner with the truth!) I have experienced significant breakthrough! I’m so grateful that Jesus is holding this big, broken world (and anything broken in our own little world) so we can just  b r e a t h e.  I’ll talk to you soon!

We live in a world that runs at an unsustainable pace. As a result of this, you and I end up hosting this deep weariness and fatigue in our heart and soul. If we’re not careful, we’ll burn out and miss the beautiful opportunity of bearing witness to God’s goodness, grace and love to those around us and under our care.

Today we’ll talk about inviting God to bring His “Kingdom Order” over our lives, our days, and even our to-do lists! When we invite Him in, He really does show up on our behalf. When we surrender to Him, we find His strength and capacity flowing through us once more. I’ll talk to you soon!

Today we will remember together the incredible calling and identity that we have as God’s “witnesses” to this broken and hurting world. And it’s more than just about telling people about God, in fact, I don’t know if that was ever really the plan…

God‘s presence with us and in us, has always been the plan. And because this is experiential and transformational, we end up bearing witness to the beautiful, personally nuanced, “withness” of God…the One who knows us and loves us …right in the middle of our mundane! I’ll talk to you soon.

Today we’re coming around my release of Fly the Nest Song (Carry You) which is a song that has truly helped me mark this moment of our kids “flying the nest.” There’s a lot to hold in this bittersweet season of letting go! We can hold truth or lies, peace or anxiety, freedom or fear. 

Even if you’re not launching kids into this world, we can all still learn to grow in the letting go of things we want and people we love. And if we have eyes to see it, God is always leading us and inviting us to release with freedom and trust that His way is better than we know!
