When I first started DJing in 2001 I would buy most of my records from VIP Records in Freehold, NJ. Over time, I would become friends with the owner, DJ Kelee, as well as many other patrons. In 2004 I finally got up the nerve to ask Kelee if I could play with him on one of his nights. Sunday night at Mix Lounge in Long Branch was where I got my chance, and that was the beginning of my time with the VIP crew. At that point the crew consisted of DJ Kelee, DJ Syne, Armand Green, Mike Stefan and Jerry Dunn. Jerry also hosted a weekly online radio show and podcast that he broadcasted live from his apartment, and on September 26th in 2004 he gave me the honor of being the guest DJ for that week.

This is that set. I hope you enjoy, not only the soulful house music, but the early 2000s references as well.

Set rip from my set at Matiz Shore House in Long Branch, NJ

Truth be told, this was my first go at an extended Freestyle set and it went pretty well. It's a genre that I haven't really gone that deep into until now and I had a lot of fun with it. Looking forward to doing it again soon, maybe even at a rollerskating rink event.

Robbie Woodside is for the children!

A set rip from "Kidchella" at Bell Works in August of 2025. Just over 2 hours of pop hits that you can jam out to with your littles, and yes, there are some KPop Demon Hunters songs in there as well.

We had a night! The music and energy were on point.  Thank you to Just John, BKA, and everyone who came out!

Fleshed out an idea in real time and ended up with this mix. Enjoy the remixed sounds of 80s and 90s dance music.

My second go at putting together a Yacht Rock set. A few things could be tightened up here and thereabout all in all I'm pretty happy with the set, as were the guests in attendance. As someone who loves all types of music spanning decades and decades, I get REALLY excited playing things outside of the box that I am typically known for and this was no exception.

Look out for our next YR night at Porta on 11/9/2024.

This one goes out to all my Gen X'ers, Millennials, and especially my fellow Xennials. You know these songs from your favorite 80's movies, and I put them together in a mix in classic RW fashion. Can you name all of the songs and the movies they are from? Bang it over to my Instagram page and test your knowledge of 80s movies & music to see how much you really know about this mix.

*** Disclaimer / My "80s Movies" include movies from 1980 through 1990. Production of many 1990 movies started in 1989 and include much 80s aesthetics. ***

3 hours of music to bop to, recorded live at Bar Bella in Bell Works, Holmdel, NJ.

Enjoy!
