Every week, I log tons of hours behind my desk, at my computer.

I'm pounded by blue screen time every single day, but I have to recharge.

Every Saturday, for the last 3 years, I've run to my ranch in Oklahoma.

It's a quiet, and beautiful space with winding roads and rolling plains.

There I have ponds, ATV roads, a river, cattle, fish, and everything else you can imagine.

It's my workplace for my body.

While I work out every single morening, getting outside and getting dirty is required.

There's always something to collect, piles of wood from fallen branches or trees, fires to start, cows to check on, and grass to cut.

I have no shortage of things to do.

I leave my phone and take off to the wide open spaces every single week.

I've found it's been hugely beneficial for my mental health and my physical well-being.

It keeps me connected to to planet and I look forward to the end of the weekend when I'm physically tired from the work, but mentally recharged to solve problems during the week.

At minimum, I would suggest you spend a full day doing some type of manual labor every single week.

It's juicing for the soul.

We're in the current age of A.I.

Elon Musk painted a picture of what's to come.

You're already seeing it....

The robots are replacing humans and within 5 years, 20% of the workforce will have been replaced by A.I.

So what does that mean for you?

Research has cited the average person spends 4 hours a day minimum scrolling on their phone on social media.

That doesn't include checking emails, playing games, etc........

That's just social media.

I'm sure I spend more than that on there before noon, but there's intention behind it.

I'm looking for something with intention.

Someone I can offer a product or service to.

A solution that no one has thought of.

A little humor to sprinkle into someone's day.

But, most people don't think about social media like that.

But here's the bad news for you......

You're going to have to work differently to keep their attention.

Engage them better.

And provide an irresistable offer no one else (including A.I.) has thought about........

If you're a speaker or coach and that's all you do for a living, your industry is about to be over.

It's not just your industry, but many others.

No one is going to continue paying $50K-$100K per year to be in a mastermind.

Everyone has had to drop their prices, including me.

All of this has to do with A.I.

Demand versus access.

Right now, you have maybe 5 years to really catch traction in something else.

Universal Basic Income is going to be a thing. If you're not sure what that is, it's where everyone who is not running a business or working in a needed position that A.I. hasn't replaced will be given a universal basic income. (Think of it as socialism).

Heed the warnings.

The signs of the time are amongst us and your next pivot is going to determine where you come out in everything.

Research.

Grow and develop your skills.

Let's flash forward into the future 3 years.

You're applying for a job and you're going up against someone with an MBA. That person is well-qualified and is probably the more attractive candidate for the job.

Let's say you have an Associates degree, but you happened to learn A.I. along the way.

You've implemented it in every single job you've had over the last 3 years.

When it comes time to getting an offer letter, if the person with the MBA hasn't mastered A.I., they're not going to land that job over you.

That's the good news.

Keep in mind, companies like Sony are not going to come here and invest tons of money and ignore cheap labor.

Sure, they'll be here for a season, but the United States is not going to pay the high wages commanded by the American workforce, especially when there are ways to scale a company by simply using A.I.

There will be no unions to pay, 401K, retirement, etc.

It's not a viable proposition.

I say that to say this............

A couple of years ago, I had close to 100 employees.

Today, I have 30, thanks to A.I.

Each one of them knows how to leverage A.I.

They are agents of A.I. and this is what future employers will be in search of.

So, if you're thinking about what you should be focused on now..............it's becoming an agent of A.I.

I was in a Facebook group with mortgage professionals a few days ago and I noticed one person was asking about getting a printed copy of marketing materials I was sharing.

Instead of clowning on the loan officer, the group turned their attention to Real Estate agents citing how important it was to share their marketing materials with real estate agents and hard selling them on selling you as a loan officer.

None of the suggestions were the right answer and it boils all down to one thing.

That one thing requires you to ask certain questions, like, "What does this person need more than anything in their business?"

"How can I best help this person with their marketing efforts?"

Simply, it starts with not making it about you.

The truth is, it begins with becoming a person of value.

So, how do you become a true person of value?

It's not fancy marketing materials, or flashy websites, or co-sponsorships........

It's something more.......

I am not a person who likes to do things the easy way.

My whole life, I've done nothing but do shit the hard way.

And let me tell you..........

The hard way is expensive.

It's painful.

People steal from you.

They run your name down.

They try and snuff out your business, your family, and even take your soul.

Here's what I know about being a hard head.

I'm grateful because of the experiences that gave me the lessons.

I learned how to be a better judge of character.

I learned how to be a good steward of my resources.

I've learned how to be a better father, husband, and businessman.

If I were to do everything I've done in my life, even as painful as it was, I would do it all over again, and not change a thing.

You can go the easy way, but it's a shortcut and you'll do yourself a disservice and miss out on the wisdom you need to truly elevate you in your life.

It's amazing what you can accomplish in a year that seems like nothing day by day.

I used to see Realtors do this.

"How are things going for you?"

Realtor: "I'm so busy. I had 3 closings last month."

Most people waste time hurrying up and waiting.

Instead of doing daily, consistent actions, they wait on something to happen instead of making it happen.

It's a vicsious cycle.

The work has to be done daily and it's not sexy, but it's those little unsexy actions done over time consistently that make the world go around and push things forward in life.

I don't wait to get fat before I have to go to the gym.

I go now because I know it'll take me longer to battle health challenges if my body is out of shape.

I don't eat like a 20-year old.

I eat things that fuel my body.

Same goes for everything we do, but things aren't going to change if you're not taking massive action and simply waiting for things to fall in your lap.

It's not how the universe works.

Get to work.

And you'll see the fruits of your labor manifest.
