Today, we're excited to share an episode from one of our favorite podcasts, The Truth.
The Truth is the critically-acclaimed fiction podcast that makes "movies for your ears." Known for cinematic sound design and naturalistic performances, the show tells emotionally rich, surprising stories that range from funny and surreal to dark and devastating. Since its debut in 2012, The Truth has set the standard for modern audio drama anthologies. Its stories, sometimes surreal, sometimes frightening, sometimes heartbreakingly intimate, have been praised for combining sharp writing with meticulous sound design and naturalistic performances.
The Truth was recently named one of Apple Podcasts' 20 Podcasts We Love: "Its true genius lies in subverting reality to create uncomfortable yet incredibly human stories." And last month it was #36 on Left of Dial Media's 100 Greatest Podcasts of All Time, which called it "smart, sharp, and hauntingly human." The Guardian has praised The Truth for "setting the benchmark for fiction-based audio anthologies."

Yes, you read the title correctly, Dan and Marc made a NEW podcast. It's our first audio drama since Archive 81 and we're SUPER excited about it.
It's called Conversations with Ghosts, and it follows mausoleum attendant Mal Fleming as he tries to convince the spirits of Grey Briar Cemetery to pass on. In each episode, Mal sits down with a new ghost to build a portrait of their life, their death, and their afterlife... all to help them release whatever still ties their soul to this reality. It's a mix of NYC history, horror, and really fun sound design.
It's on an entirely seperate feed from Archive 81, but you can listen to it wherever you get your podcasts - Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube - literally wherever: https://pod.link/1843137773
We're previewing an episode in this feed, but there are ALREADY two episodes in the Conversations with Ghosts feed, so go over to the Conversations with Ghosts feed, listen to the episodes, subscribe, and tell your friends.
We've been working on this new project for a while, and we really think you'll like it. So... take a listen!
Like we said in the title, our next project, Generation Crossing, is out NOW.
Generation Crossing is an album. More specifically, a series of monologues scored by music - it's about an 800 year journey to a distant planet, and the society that forms during that voyage.
If you're a fan of Archive 81 or The Deep Vault, we think you'll really enjoy it.
It's available on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, or wherever you listen to music. For links, go to generationcrossing.com.
We have some exciting news to share. The next project from the creators of Archive 81 and The Deep Vault is an album called Generation Crossing - and it's out on Tuesday November 12th.
The album is a series of monologues scored by music - it's about an 800 year journey to a distant planet, and the society that forms during that voyage.

So... Episode 3 of Left of the Dial will be delayed until Wednesday June 5th. Sorry about that. To make it up to you, Marc had a lovely conversation about Archive 81 with Ella Watts, an audio drama maven and the producer of The Orphans, a sci-fi podcast.
Here's her twitter: https://twitter.com/GejWatts
And her podcast: https://twitter.com/OrphansAudio
Hopefully you enjoy the conversation, Marc had a VERY long day and this was VERY last minute.

Dan and Marc answer questions and talk about the future of Archive 81. Somehow, we get into a tangent about Simon and Garfunkel.
Our next Archive 81-related thing will be a miniseries called "Left of the Dial." We reserve the right to change this. Goodbye for a little bit. But we'll be back

This is the season 3 finale of Archive 81.
Three things to know:
First off, thank you. Thank you so much for listening to this season, for talking about it on Twitter, for making fanart, for supporting us on Patreon. We really couldn't make this without you.
Second, this is NOT the end of Archive 81. There will be more Archive 81.
Third, in two weeks, we'll be doing a special Season 3 Q&A episode of the podcast, where Dan and Marc will answer your questions, and talk a little bit about future plans for the show. So, if you have any Season 3-related questions, just send a tweet with the question, or ask it on Tumblr.
