Armed with an unmissable exclusive story about The Spider’s battle with the electric powered Dirk Leyden, Robbie Robertson reclaims his job at the Daily Bugle.

He and Janet discover every metahuman had been treated by the same physician Dr. Alethea Faber before developing powers.

While Robbie interrogates Dr. Faber and her secretary Ogden, The Spider steals medical files proving Faber tried to cure the metahumans but instead aggravated their conditions, and now they will all die if they keep using their powers.

Meanwhile Flint Marko, now Silvermane's right-hand man, recruits Lonnie Lincoln and together they free Dirk Leyden from prison to join them.

Now armed with his super powered muscle men, Silvermane warns Ben to keep the Spider out of his conflict with Mayor Morris.

After careful investigation they learn the powers he, Addison and Marko have, come from experimentation on them when they were prisoners of war. He doesn't know much detail but directs them to Dr Faber who has been helping them.

But the metahuman is a criminal with the ability to absorb and release electricity. Ben arrives in his costume as the Spider and eventually defeats him by shutting off the power in the area to prevent him from storing any more electricity. Once defeated, Mayor Morris uses The Spider's victory to boost his reelection campaign.

    Punisher One Last Kill Review

Derek, Chris and John return to watch Frank Castle find his purpose again in Punisher One Last Kill the Marvel Special Presentation. Sometimes, as Marvel fans with such a huge breath of excellent shows and movies, you have to watch something that has no real purpose. Despite a brilliant cast and some great action moments we couldn't find much positive to say about this one.

The Punisher One Last Kill Details

    Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green

Written by Reinaldo Marcus Green with Jon Bernthal

    Episode Synopsis:

Frank Castle, as the brutal vigilante known as the Punisher, kills members of the Gnucci Crime Family who are believed to be the last criminals involved in the deaths of his family.

The Gnucci's former territory in New York City's Little Sicily neighborhood becomes overrun with crime.

Castle lives in a Little Sicily apartment complex where he is haunted by hallucinations of people from his past. After locking up his Punisher gear, Castle goes to his family's graves to take his life but is stopped by a hallucination of his daughter Lisa.

Castle walks aimlessly through the chaotic streets, haunted by an apparition of his military friend Curtis Hoyle.

He is cornered by crime lord Ma Gnucci, the matriarch of the Gnucci Crime Family, who seeks revenge for Castle's murder of her husband and three sons. Ma Gnucci reveals that she has placed a bounty on Castle's head, attracting every common criminal in the area.

Returning to his apartment, he sees a vision of his friend Karen Page, who scolds Castle for his failures but also consoles him.

A small army of criminals enters the apartment complex and attacks innocent residents looking to claim the bounty on Frank Castle.

When his apartment is set on fire, Frank escapes and ruthlessly dispatches criminals, fighting his way to the rooftop before jumping off.

He has an opportunity to pursue Ma Gnucci, but instead decides to protect local shop owner Dre, his wife Debbie, and their daughter Charli.

After the fighting is over, Charli gives Frank Castle a paper rose which he puts on Lisa's grave. Castle decides that he still has work to do as the Punisher.

Now fully tooled up Frank Castle once again returns to the streets with a new Punisher costume and arsenal. He stops a group of thugs from attacking innocent people and kills their leader.

    Good Omens 3 Finale

The Second Coming is on its way as your ineffable husbands John and Derek return for Good Omens 3 "The Finale".

This is our spoiler filled discussion so as always make sure you’ve watched the move before listening to the podcast.

Good Omens 3 “The Finale” synopsis

The finale was overseen by the Terry Pratchett estate

Based on characters created for the book Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman

Teleplay written by: Michael Marshall Smith, Peter Atkins and Neil Gaiman

    Episode directed by: Rachel Talalay

Previously on Good Omens season 2 Aziraphale leaves Earth (and Crowley) to go to work for Heaven, where the Metatron informs him that his task, for which he has the perfect skill set, will be to enact the Second Coming.

Now: Aziraphale’s extensive checklist for the Second Coming is finally complete and he assigns Sandalphon to watch the resurrected Jesus and provide guidance to him before his return to Earth.

Heaven is thrown into chaos and disorder when the Metatron disappears, along with the Book of Life. While the Seraphim are distracted, Jesus goes off to Earth on his own to connect with humanity.

Aziraphale needs help to find Jesus and returns to Whickber Street in Soho where he finds the former demon Crowley, homeless after losing his Bently to gangster Brian Cameron in a game of chance.

While Jesus learns a card trick from Harry The Fish to help him connect with humanity, Aziraphale wins the Bentley back from the gangster. Crowley and Aziraphale take the car to the furthest reaches of the universe trying to locate the missing deity and more of the angels disappear.

Meanwhile Uriel confronts Michael, and Michael reveals that she is responsible for the disappearances. Angered that Aziraphale’s version of the Second Coming is planned to bring world peace, Michael feels she was the only one competent enough to enact the Apocalypse; She burns Uriel's page from the Book of Life, thus erasing her from existence. Michael begins destroying the Book of Life.

Crowley and Aziraphale find her, and Aziraphale forgives her; overcome by guilt, Michael burns her own page. With that Crowley and Aziraphale are the only beings left in existence back in the bookshop, with God and Satan.

Crowley and Aziraphale ask God to create another universe without angels, demons, heaven, hell, Satan or God, where humans have free will. God erases the universe completely, along with Crowley and Aziraphale.

In another universe, professor Anthony Crowley meets bookseller Asa Fell, who invites him to dinner.

Twenty years later, Fell and Crowley are married and live together in a cottage in the South Downs. Fell wonders if there is anything beyond the universe, and Crowley dismisses the idea, because he has everything he ever wanted.

She, with encouragement from Back-Ashley, finds her inner strength and frees The Boys, sending them on their path to take out Homelander before making a run for it. On their route they encounter The Deep. Dejected after Homelander’s latest rejection he blames Annie for everything. She has a knockdown drag out fight with him and sends him flying into the ocean where the sea life gets their revenge, tearing The Deep apart.

While MM and Hughie kill a gagged Oh Father, Billy Butcher and Kimiko take the fight to Homelander. With the help of Ryan, Billy restrains him while Kimiko, with a little help from Frenchie, unleashes her powers removing all abilities from all three of them.

Realising he has no real power, the pathetic, weak, sniveling loser Homelander begs for his life on camera in front of the American people. But Billy’s crowbar unhinges his skull, putting an end to his tyranny once and for all.

Subsequently, President Ashley is unanimously impeached and removed from office and Stan Edgar once again becomes Vought's interim CEO just as he promised MM he would. When Ryan rejects Billy Butcher’s idea of a happy family and his dog Terror dies, Butcher goes back to his original plan and heads to Vought Tower to release the virus. Hughie follows him and, realising there is no way to stop Billy, he pulls the trigger and kills him.

With their plan complete The Boys disband, M.M. renews his marriage vows and takes in Ryan; Kimiko goes to France; and Hughie and Annie prepare to become parents to a baby girl who they name Robin. Hughie smiles as Annie flies off to continue using her powers to be the hero the world needs.

After a week break John and Derek are back to discuss The Boys Season 5 Episode 7 The Frenchman, The Female and The man named Mother's Milk. A dance number a very special guest voice and a huge loss there is loads to discuss again in our spoiler filled podcast.

The Boys Season 5 Episode 7 The Frenchman, The Female and The man named Mother's Milk Synopsis

Head Writer and Developed by - Eric Kripke

Based on the comic series from Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson

Executive Producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

    Episode written by: Anslem Richardson

    Episode directed by: Sylvain White

Synopsis: Empowered by V1, Homelander kills the president of the United States, dissolves the Seven, and prepares to reveal his divinity. But when he asks Soldier Boy to join him, his father tells him some Home (lander) truths. He just had a wet dream, there’s no way he’s a god. When Soldier Boy tells him he wants to leave, Homelander overpowers and knocks soldier boy out, placing him back into the cryostasis chamber.

The Deep, learning that the Seven is no more, becomes isolated and is approached by a familiar sounding hammerhead shark, Zander. All of the sea life is aware of his role in the pipeline disaster. He is warned that if he sets foot in any body of water ever again he will be killed.

Marie Moreau and Jordan Li from Godolkin University, uncover activity at Vought studios involving Oh Father. Butcher, Hughie, Annie and M.M. investigate the lead, and find out that Oh Father is doing some market research on the introduction of the new god Homelander with his most avid followers.

They are using the world’s best psychics to ensure the followers are true believers. But when most of the group are unconvinced by their new lord and saviours propaganda campaign Homelander orders they get the “VIP treatment”. As they start getting murdered at the hands of the animalistic supes She-line and Dogknott, Annie and MM save the non-believing former Homelanders and bring them to the Gen V crew for protection.

Elsewhere at the studios, Butcher and Hughie are captured by Synapse, one of the psychics and a shape-shifter who takes on the form of Billy’s former partner Joe Kessler. Kessler explains to Hughie that if you stand in the way of Billy Butcher he’ll kill you without hesitation. While discussing this Synapse has learned The Boys plan and the whereabouts of their base from inside Butcher’s mind. He shares the information with Homelander and returns to finish off The Boys, but Hughie distracts Synapse, allowing Butcher to kill him so they can make their escape.

Meanwhile, back at the Boys base, Frenchie has been continuing his longstanding plan to recreate Soldier Boy's depowering ability in Kimiko using huge amounts of radiation. When he can’t solve the puzzle himself he finally convinces Sister Sage to use her superior intellect to stabilise the process. As they complete Kimiko’s final exposure to radiation, they are warned that Homelander has located the base. As he enters the Boys' base, Kimiko and Sage hide in a zinc lined vent hiding them from Homelander’s x-ray eyes, while Frenchie distracts him so he does not investigate the base too thoroughly and find Kimiko and Sister Sage. In retaliation, Homelander fatally wounds Frenchie. After leaving the base empty handed, Kimiko runs to help Frenchie who dies in her arms.
