Machine Head informs Titan that Mister Liu survived their attempt on his life and is hunting them. He first sends Magnattack to assassinate Titan but he’s able to get the better of the attacker and kills him. Concerned about Mr. Liu’s attack, Titan tries to get Invincible to help him but he sends Oliver instead. Oliver is overpowered by Mr. Liu in his dragon form.
Back at the guardians base, a Sequid appears from inside Rex, which Monster Girl destroys, but it raises further questions over whether Mark’s choice to murder Rus Livingston was the correct decision. But as the Flaxans return and attack Earth, prompting Mark to join the Guardians to finally push back the forces his father had defeated before.
During the battle Robot and Monster Girl enter the Flaxan dimension to destroy their technology from the other side, discovering a highly advanced civilization that poses a major threat. But as the rest of the team try to travel through the portal, a fleeing Flaxan destroys it, trapping Robot and Monster Girl in the other dimension.
When Mark learns that Oliver has been put in danger by Titan he fights Mr. Liu, forcing him to retreat and almost kills Titan until Oliver intervenes.
With Liu still free, Titan is forced to join Machine Head's Order for his own protection. But as he joins the group he learns Mr. Liu has also returned and both of them will now report to Machine Head.
Meanwhile with her powers going out of control a concerned Eve finds out she is pregnant.

On the way to Talescria, home of the Coalition of Planets, Nolan recounts his ruthless Viltrumite upbringing to Allen the alien, detailing how he taught young cadets and was severely beaten by his parents to prove his adulthood.
Shortly after, a devastating biological weapon, the Scourge virus, decimated the Viltrumites, including Nolan's parents. The Grand Regent quarantined the sick, blockaded the planet, and exterminated all alien slaves aware of the plague to protect their biggest flaw.
The few remaining Viltrumites spread across the galaxy to find genetically compatible species, such as humans, for reproduction.
On Talescria, Thaedus reveals he is the infamous Betrayer who assassinated the famous Viltrumite leader Emperor Argall which led to the initial cleanse of the species.
Utilizing Nolan's knowledge, Allen helps covertly gather scattered ancient weapons and allies, including Space Racer and toxic Sinlak beetles for the Coalition to help destroy the Viltrimite threat.
When they return, Thaedus privately confesses to Nolan that he also engineered the Scourge virus and possesses an improved strain. Though angered, Nolan departs to recruit his son from Earth after Thaedus assures the virus is only a last resort.
Meanwhile, on the Viltrumite homeworld, Conquest returns and reports his failure to Grand Regent Thragg

Cecil appoints Brit as leader of the Guardians of the Globe and merges the Teen Team back under his leadership, causing great irritation in the newly renamed Teen Team leader “Rex”.
Mark meets Dinosaurus, a powerful being he nearly kills despite learning the creature's human host lacks control in his transformed state.
Tensions rise during a difficult dinner with Eve and her parents as Mark learns Eve’s father blames him for the loss of his career during the destruction of Chicago. Her mother guides Eve to not set the bar too high for her relationship.
Meanwhile, the Sequids prepare another invasion, and Universa arrives on Earth, draining energy from a power plant to save her people.
Eve struggles as her powers become unstable during the fight, but Universa is eventually defeated. The Guardians confront the Sequid threat, and with Mark's help, they save all infected civilians using new technology, though Mark kills Rus Livingston, the final host, to end the danger.

Following the huge explosion he caused on the Wonder Man set, Simon returns to his apartment assuming that he will be caught by the Department of Damage Control. He instinctively phones his mum to tell her he loves her.
But Trevor Slattery calls him to apologise and says he has a solution: He revives his Mandarin persona and publicly claims responsibility for the explosion. No one ever saw that coming.
Agent Cleary knows that Trevor is just taking the blame for Simon, but goes along with it because the DODC needs more prisoners to justify their expensive Yucca Valley, California prison.
Following Trevor's arrest, Director Von Kovak insists they continue filming and tells Simon to use Trevor's betrayal for the scene where Wonder Man is betrayed by Barnaby. Wonder Man is finished with Joe Pantoliano taking over the role of Barnaby and the film is a huge success.
At the premiere, his clearly delighted brother Eric tells Simon he’s proud of him. Meanwhile, Janelle tells Simon that he now has his pick of roles for his next project.
With his new found fame Simon decides to shadow a DODC guard, Chuck Eastman, who hates his job, under the guise of making a new film. This gives Simon access to the DODC prison under an alias, just as Agent Cleary discovers that Simon's powers use ionic energy and proposes to his boss that Simon could be an asset or a threat.
Simon manages to slip his work shadowing Chuck and finds Trevor's cell where he uses his powers to break Trevor out of prison and fly away with him.

Filming on the Wonder Man Movie begins. Simon Williams struggles to be personable with the crew and to communicate his thoughts on the script, but is helped by Trevor Slattery.
At a dinner meeting with his team his agent Janelle informs the pair that The New York Times journalist Kathy Friedman is writing a profile on them, terrifying Simon who describes her as a character assassin of the highest order, who could discover and reveal his secret, just like she did with Joseph Gordon Levitt.
He becomes paranoid after learning that Friedman talked to his ex-girlfriend Vivian, his mom, and brother Eric about him for her story. Vivian reveals to Simon that she knows he has powers, but she did not say anything about them to Friedman.
Still concerned as they sit down for their joint interview with Kathy Friedman the next day, Simon is surprised to learn that Eric only had good things to say and he’s really proud of him.
It wasn’t Simon who should have been concerned Kathy Friedman grills Trevor about what happened after his arrest when he returned to US soil and asks him what government deal he cut to avoid returning to prison, prompting him to walk out of the interview.
Confronted by Simon, Trevor confesses the truth of his deal with the Department Of Damage Control to spy on Simon but promises that he will find a way to get out of it.
Upset and overwhelmed, Simon goes to a Wonder Man soundstage and unleashes a large explosion that destroys the set.

Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery immediately drive to director Von Kovak's mansion for the callback, joining other actors in the running for Wonder Man and Barnaby.
Exhausted and lacking sleep, Simon is paranoid as the callback begins. Kovak pairs the actors with one another for chemistry tests via improvisational exercises. While Trevor impresses the group, Simon falters with his improv skills. Simon confides in Trevor that he is nervous about Von Kovak pushing him to expose himself, but Trevor encourages him that he is more than his powers.
Simon and Trevor are finally paired together, which impresses Kovak so much he casts them both in the lead roles.
After being dropped off home by Simon, Trevor is picked up by the DODC for failing to apprehend Simon, but Trevor says he's almost there and begs them to give him more time.

Simon and Trevor celebrate their call back at a bar in town, but Simon becomes anxious. Trevor guides him through a breathing exercise while he ignores calls from Agent Cleary, who is pressured to close the case soon.
The two are cornered by a drug dealer, Patrick Connor, that Trevor owes money to, forcing Simon to use his powers to incapacitate him and his henchmen.
But after Simon's use of his powers, they spot a boy who has recorded it with his GoPro, and the two give chase to retrieve the footage. In the car, they read a scene sent by Janelle where Trevor's character, sidekick Barnaby, betrays Wonder Man for a price.
They spot the bicycle courier, Jayden, and follow him into a club. He tells them that he will erase the footage if Simon uses his powers to help him get back his stolen motorbike from a man named Esteban.
Arriving at Esteban's house, Esteban tells them that Jayden is lying. Connor and his men return and hold Jayden hostage at gun point in exchange for Trevor. Trevor convinces Jayden to give him the footage so he could delete it.
With all the commotion, the police arrive and engage in a gunfight with Connor's men; Jayden escapes and reconciles with Esteban. Simon and Trevor flee and learn from Janelle that Kovak wants their call back at his home now.

In the standalone episode of Wonder Man Episode 4 "Doorman" we discuss the cautionary tale of how the Doorman clause came to Hollywood productions and how it can chew up and spit out even those that don't want fame. Simon shares his concerns with Trevor that if his abilities are revealed to the world he will lose his career because of Hollywood’s “Doorman” clause. Unaware of the history, Simon explains to Trevor who caused the change to Hollywood’s inclusion of powered individuals.
A few years ago, DeMarr Davis was a doorman for the Wilcox club in LA. Brushing shoulders with wealthy customers, musicians and actors he loved his job. But when he encountered some otherworldly goop from the Roxxon Corporation he developed special abilities. He now has the ability to teleport people and objects through solid matter.
When a fire starts in the club, threatening the lives of everyone inside, DeMarr uses his new Doorman powers to get everyone out to safety. Eternally grateful for saving his life, Hollywood actor Josh Gad gives DeMarr a job as his assistant.
DeMarr soon gets a role on Josh’s movie “Cash Grab” using his powers in a pivotal scene. The stunt works and DeMarr Davis becomes The Doorman, the superpowered actor with his own catch phrase.
But it’s not Ding Dong for long as the public quickly get tired of DeMarr’s schtick. On the downward spiral, a glimmer of hope comes in the form of Josh offering him a role in “Cash Grab 2”. But when they try to create a new super powered sequence for the sequel it all goes horribly wrong. As one cash bag after another is safely transferred through Demarr it's time for Josh Gad’s character to also make his escape. But J-Gad goes in and J-Gad doesn't come out, disappearing, never to return.
Hollywood was shocked and created a clause on all productions that would stop people with powers acting in any production ever again.

While Simon Williams is still waiting for an answer for his Wonder Man audition, the Department of Damage Control are concerned their funding will be cut. Their mission is to protect the US from super powered threats but their purpose built prison remains half empty and pressure is coming down from Congress to reduce the DODC’s budget.
Agent Cleary has information on two incidents that might include Simon Williams. An explosion at his home as a child and a porta-potty explosion on the set of The Rookie while Simon was there. In order to connect these, Agent Cleary threatens Trevor Slattery to interrogate Simon’s family and friends at his mum’s birthday party.
At the event Trevor learns a new kitchen has been installed with an island. The very thing Simon's mum has always wanted. But Trevor learns very little about Simon except that he’s always been alone and he’s always been lonely. His family, friends and neighbours don’t understand his acting career and believe he’s lazy and overly dependent on his family.
After everyone leaves the party, Simon’s brother Eric pushes Simon to admit he got fired from American Horror Story and give up on his acting dreams. The stress sends Simon over the edge and his powers explode out of him destroying his mother’s newly treasured kitchen island.
Later Simon apologises to Trevor for his explosive powers that have never been witnessed before by anyone outside of the family, but empathetic to Simon’s loneliness, Trevor chooses to destroy the taped evidence from his wire instead of delivering it to Damage Control.
Meanwhile Simon’s agent, Janelle, calls to inform him that both actors have callbacks for roles in Wonder Man, but Simon is concerned his whole career would be over if anyone finds out about his powers because all Hollywood productions ban powered actors following the case of Demarr “Doorman” Davis.

Episode Synopsis:
A short while ago after flying back to LA to reignite his acting career, Trevor Slattery was instantly arrested by the Department of Damage control for his role as The Mandarin. Agent Cleary offers Trevor a way out of his return to prison if he brings evidence of the dangerous powers of Simon Williams.
Meanwhile following his audition for Von Kovak’s Wonder Man, his agent Jannelle calls him. The casting director for the movie wants to give him a shot in a smaller indie movie. It’s a bit part where he’ll play a waiter. All that’s needed is a quick self tape of his lines and he’s got the cameo.
This will be great for his career, but the pressure gets to Simon and his powers rise, exploding out like an earthquake inside his apartment. Unable to use his apartment for the self tape, Simon reaches out to Trevor for help.
After several more failed attempts Trevor brings him to his former co-star, Joe Pantaliano’s house as a favour. When Simon and Trevor clash with Joey Pants over his lack of respect for the art of acting they leave.
With a new respect between the two, Simon invites Trevor to his apartment, where they finally record the perfect self tape and submit it to his agent.
As Simon celebrates the successful submission Trevor finds the damage from his super powers but pretends it doesn’t phase him.
