What's the difference between observing rules, law, philosophies and traditions of religion vs. exercisting sprititual principles and disciplines. The difference will bring either tremendous victories or religious and judgemental yet powerless existence.

In this installment on the book of Colossians, we learn that religious discipline is powerless in helping us to have victory over sin. It has the "appearance" of wisdom, but it doesn't have the power to help us overcoming the indulgence of sin.

God has given us all the Spiritual Blessings and has exhausted all His grace on the cross. There is nothing we can to to "earn" more from God. The key to all the blessings in the Kingdom is to learn how to "access" and "harness" all that had been given to us. Not to ask God or try to please Him for more.
