This week Brian and Harrison kick things off with some footy chat, where they talk through Brian dubbing Jason Horne-Francis 'The Horny One', and they address the 'Premiership Medals vs Rings' debate. This week Brian and Harrison kick things off with some general discussions around footy, LIV Golf and life, where BT got uncharacteristically reflective around how you're remembered after we're gone.
Later, the boys are joined by Melbourne pub owner and hospitality industry identity Simon Lennox. Simon has worked in and owned some of Melbourne's most popular venues for over 36 years, notably the Middle Park Hotel, the Beach Hotel, Beaumaris Hotel, Motel nightclub and more recently the Osborne Hotel. Brian and Simon met when Simon played U/19s at Collingwood and then when BT retired from league football, he recruited the young star to the Prahran Football Club.
This episode explores Simon’s career in football, one that had him teetering right on the edge of league football for many years, although he wasn’t able to break through at the top level of football, Simon has found great success in the hospitality industry. They discuss what it takes to create a bustling venue and expose which of the Taylor boys have been waking Simon up at midnight to get into the Osborne.

On today’s episode BT goes bang early around his Gather Round observations. Then, Brian’s Content Corner makes a return, his main recommendation being ‘Full Swing’ on Netflix, which spawned LIV Golf vs PGA conversation. Plus, what does Harrison getting stopped in the street for a photo mean for the power dynamics on this show (and his ego).
Next, the boys are joined by former NBA Champion and Australian basketball legend, Andrew Bogut. This chat went pretty much everywhere; Andrew’s basketball journey, NBA team dynamics, personalities on and off the court, the evolution of basketball, the GOAT debate, muscle cars, motorhomes, sports leagues’ drug policies, worldviews and plenty more. We thank Andrew for his time.

Brian and Harrison kick of the show by diving into a couple of the AFLs recent off-field controversies, they discuss back-to-back games at the same venue, plus, Brian’s oblivious interaction with Ari Gold from Entourage (actor Jeremy Piven).
Next, the boys are joined by surfing commentator Joe Turpel. Employed by the World Surf League (WSL), Joe is considered the modern voice of professional surfing, with smooth California vocals an encyclopaedic knowledge of surfing, it’s obvious why he’s adored by surf fans across the world. They speak about how he got into surfing and eventually broadcasting, the 101s of professional surfing and some of the gnarliest stories from his time on tour. We thank Joe for his time.

Strap yourselves in, this one’s a rollercoaster of emotions. Firstly, Brian and Harrison are ambushed by Dylan Buckley as they talk paint and footy. Dylan is the co-founder of Producey and Clubby Sports, where ‘Life of Brian’ is recorded and produced, he also has his own podcast, ‘Dyl & Friends’.
Secondly, the boys are joined by Richmond AFL legend Mervyn Keane. Merv, or ‘Chunk’ as he’s known, played in 3x premierships for Richmond across the 70s and 80s. Since retiring, Merv had coached and recruited at all levels of football.
Tragically, he suffered incomprehensible personal loss in 2017, a story that is not easy to tell, however, one that he finds refuge in sharing. Recently, Merv released a book ‘You Don’t Understand ’ which chronicles his life as well as his connection and relationship with former Essendon footballer and First Nations man, Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti.
We thank Merv for his courage and time.

This week Brian and Harrison kick off the show with two BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS, the first being that Brian has a new toy, a ‘Brickies Block Saw’ (riveting), the second being that they’re doing a live show on the Wednesday of Gather Round with Dyl & Friends, The Ressies and Kick It Forward! They continue to carry-on with some footy chatter, specifically BTs visit to GWS and BT’s current list of ‘observations’ (Harrison believes they’re complaints, Brian claims they’re observations). Additionally, is BT and his hometown or Lorne becoming gentrified with the prominence of retail shops like Tommy Bahama?
Finally, wizard level sports researcher and producer, Josh Kay from the Seven Network joins the boys. For more than two decades, Channel Seven sports broadcasters and presenters have come to rely on the knowledge and research of this extremely talented individual. Kay is one of the many working behind the scenes of our great sports broadcasting events in Australia, but his role is quite special, he is one of very few who literally have the ear of the commentators we hear and see, he is feeding them insights, statistics and particulars that help shape and add colour to what we the viewers hear. The man is extremely humble, but we know the level of his ability, he is a walking stats machine, capable of listing off obscure sporting facts and figures from the past to present day. We thank Josh for his time, and we hope you enjoy.

This week on the show Brian and Harrison are joined by Australian sports journalist Jon Anderson. ‘Ando’ as he’s known has spent 40 years writing for the Herald Sun as well as being involved in a successful breakfast radio program on 3AW. Brian and Ando have known each other since the early 80s and have worked on many projects and pieces together including co-authoring the infamous ‘Taylor Diaries’ together, which was an unofficial behind-scenes account of a football season with the Collingwood Football Club...while BT was an active player…and in a premiership year. The book took readers right into the inner sanctum of the club like no other football book at done before. Ando has an incredible knowledge of Australian sports and has some cracking stories from his time in the media. We thank Ando for his time. Hope you enjoy!

This week Brian and Harrison kick off the show with youngest Taylor boy, Jesse. Jesse has just started his first full time job and is feeling a little run down, so he is off course mercilessly ripped for this. The boys discuss some AFL season predictions, the current cushion epidemic in the Taylor household and Brian’s thoughts on Tattoos.
Finally, the lads are joined by former AFL player Tommy Sheridan. Tommy is a long-time friend of the family, growing up playing football and basketball with the Taylor boys in Riddells Creek. Drafted by the Fremantle Dockers with pick 16 in 2011, Tommy’s commendable career spanned 9 seasons where he played for both Fremantle and the GWS Giants, but what’s most impressive about Tommy is the path he’s been able to pave away from the field. He’s an entrepreneurial go getter, founding and managing both a sunglass brand, Rixx Eyewear and a digital sports community, Ausmerican Aces. With his strong ambition and hustler attitude, we have no doubt that he will continue to do great things.
