making sense of problems & the current world | islamic feelings
This new series is based on the book Kitab al-Hikam. Through selected quotes and reflections, I hope to discuss how these insights provide clarity and guidance. There will be many themes to explore, such as trust in divine wisdom, the importance of inner tranquility, and creating a relationship with Allah. By connecting these teachings to contemporary issues—such as stress, uncertainty, global circumstances, and the quest for purpose—I hope each episode resonates with you in a unique way. - Abu al-Husayn reported: Abu Uthman al-Hiri, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “Companionship with Allah Almighty is to have good manners, to always be reverent, and to be mindful. Companionship with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, is to follow his Sunnah and adhere to the outward rulings. Companionship with the allies of Allah is to respect and to serve them. Companionship with one’s family and children is to have good character. Companionship with one’s brethren is to always be joyful and cheerful, unless there is sin. Companionship with the foolish is to supplicate for them, to be merciful to them, and to appreciate the blessings of Allah upon you as you have been kept safe from their trials.” Source: Ṣifat al-Ṣafwah 2/302 --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/islamicfeelings/support

lessons I learned through the people around me | managing self & relationships | islamic feelings
Life serves as a classroom through the people we encounter, where every interaction, be it joyful or challenging, offers an opportunity to learn. As the Prophet PBUH said, 'The believer who engages with others and patiently endures their harm receives greater reward than one who avoids people and is not patient with their harm.' (Source: Sunan Ibn Mājah 4032) This episode shares several lessons learned from my relationships. Understanding when to nurture a relationship or when to let it go, for better or worse, holds significant importance. My hope is that this episode aids you in navigating your own relationships. - This episode is sponsored by Rabata. how to stop a repetitive sin | islamic feelings
Its important to acknowledge that everyone grapples with their own set of struggles, whether it's depression, anxiety, or battling with habitual sins. It's also important to  recognize that the path to healing is unique for each individual. For those contending with depression, anxiety etc seeking professional mental health assistance is paramount & we place emphasis on the significance of reaching out for support and guidance from trained professionals. Similarly, for those wrestling with habitual sins, implementing spiritual remedies can offer solace and guidance. This episode delves into practical tips and insights to aid in breaking free from repetitive wrongdoing, understanding that the journey towards spiritual growth requires patience and perseverance. While some may find relief through a combination of spiritual and mental health interventions, we caution against viewing any remedy as a one-size-fits-all solution. This episode serves as a collection of small tips to assist in overcoming habitual sins, but it does not suggest that depression, anxiety, or dangerous habits can be simply cured through the strategies shared. - connect with me; www.islamicfeelings.com --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/islamicfeelings/support
