The Overlap is the place to see me meet some of the biggest names in sport. I'll also be sharing more opinions on the things I am passionate about, both in football and beyond.
On this week’s episode on The Overlap, brought to you by Sky Bet, we are joined by Newcastle United and England winger Anthony Gordon.
Gary Neville meets Gordon along Whitley Bay beach. He starts with the first part of quick-fire questions, where the Liverpudlian opens up about the importance of psychology and meditation on his game.
Gordon made a huge decision to move to Newcastle from Everton in January 2022 and talks about life at St James Park under Eddie Howe, his ambitions and the club's goals as he enjoys his most prolific spell in professional football to date.
With the upcoming Euros and having made his senior England debut in March’s international friendlies against Brazil and Belgium, the 23-year-old will be looking to replicate last summer's achievements that saw him named player of the tournament as England lifted the under-21 European trophy.
Lastly, Quick-Fire Questions resume where Gordon reveals his best goal, who he’d want to take a last-minute penalty to save his life and which former-teammate Gordon reminds Gary of in terms of self-confidence.

On this week’s episode on the Overlap, brought to you by Sky Bet, we are joined by Bayern Munich legend and German World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger.
We join Schweinsteiger in Munich, where he won eight Bundesliga’s, to reminisce on his impressive playing career, including his move to Manchester United where he was reunited with former coach Louis Van Gaal and how things took a turn for the worse under Jose Mourinho.
The German international reveals what piece was missing in the puzzle of that 2016/17 Manchester United team, and which rivals they could have learnt from. Plus, would a move away from Old Trafford be best for former teammate Marcus Rashford?
Schweinsteiger has played under some of the greatest managers, as he tells us about winning the treble under Jupp Heynckes in 2013 and trying to adapt to Pep Guardiola’s style of play at Bayern Munich when German football was number one in the world.
Bastian also speaks about the impressiveness at Bayern Munich, Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben’s competitiveness and changing tactics.

On this week’s episode on the Overlap, brought to you by Sky Bet, we are joined by Liverpool and England star Trent Alexander-Arnold.
We join Trent as he returns from injury in the closing stages of the 23/24 season that has already seen Liverpool win the League Cup and in contention to win the Premier League and Europa League in Jurgen Klopp’s final season.
The boyhood Liverpool star reveals what the dressing room was like when Klopp announced his departure, the influence the German boss has had on his career and how much a title would mean to him, the club and city.
At just 25 years-old Trent has established himself as one of the world’s best players and has won every major trophy he’s competed in and following a disappointing 22/23 season he tells how his mindset changed over the summer through the help of a psychologist.
Trent also takes on Gary at darts whilst answering quick-fire questions before finally talking about his After Academy, a charity he set up to help academy footballers who didn’t make it to the professional game.

Welcome back to the Fan Debate, brought to you by SkyBet, with Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher alongside some of the biggest fan channels in England.
This week we begin with the fallout from the international break as Gareth Southgate England side prepare for Euro 2024.
The title race hots up at the weekend with champions Manchester City hosting leaders Arsenal at the Etihad in one of the biggest games of the season. Can Mikel Arteta get one over his mentor Pep Guardiola? And can Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool take advantage to potentially go top of the table?
Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are all in the hunt for Champions League football, and we’re joined by fans from each club as they make their case for who will secure European’s top footballing competition spot.
David Moyes’ West Ham still see themselves in the Europa League and currently sit in the final European spot, so is the criticism he has faced as manager justified?
Finally, Nottingham Forest have just appealed their four-point deduction which has seen them drop into the relegation spots with Everton and Luton Town above them. How big of an impact will the financial regulators have in the final stages of the season?
We’ll be back next week where Gary and Jamie answer the panels questions.
