Norseman Xtreme Triathlon 2018: the world's ultimate triathlon
Twas the night before the Isklar Norseman Xtreme Triathlon and all through the cabins, not a creature was stirring, not even a triathlete. The wetsuits were hung by the athletes with care, as they dreamt of the black tee shirt, that would soon be theirs. And the ferry stood still on Eidfjord’s cold waters, waiting to take them beyond the shore. Soon they’d be jumping and their heart rates racing….

After running down Dag Oliver, Managing Director of Norseman, at The London Triathlon Show, I was given the very enjoyable task of taking over Norseman’s Instagram Stories over the 4-day race period. This is my journey and story.

Three inspirational conversations with New Yorker triathletes
Last June (2018), I was very fortunate to travel to New York for work and while there, I thought it'd be fun to meet up with other triathletes, train with them and hear their story!

I sent a message to the Empire Triathlon Club in New York and soon found myself attending one their strength sessions and runs! They welcomed me with open arms and I had truly a terrific time. If you're ever a triathlete in NYC, I highly recommend joining them!

While still hot and sweaty from the session, I caught up with three of their athletes! Our conversations are short and varied: achieving goals, overcoming fears, journeys into triathlon, being courageous , giving back and much more!

(At the end you'll hear me mention Chris Mosier coming on the podcast, we're hoping our schedules will match up for Season 4!).

How to mentally prepare for your triathlete with Mette Pettersen
In 2018, my guest today finished in the top 12 of the Isklar Norseman Xtreme Triathlon and she was the first woman to cross the finish line. She did it in under 12 hours, becoming the first woman to do so on this course, completely destroying and smashing the female course record in the process.

I'm really excited to introduce to you today, Mette Pettersen, who is Norwegian and we talk all things Norseman and mindset. The more we chatter, the more I fell in love with her and I know you will too! So I hope you really enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed talking to Mette!

My 3 biggest lessons from podcasting in seasons
All of our favourite TV shows are released in seasons, so how can a podcast follow a similar format? And does it work?

At the very beginning, we decided that a seasonal podcast would be best for what I wanted to create: a podcast that teaches athletes how to hone their mindset and achieve extraordinary performance.

My podcast began as an experiment and with each season it grows, develops and evolves according to my and my client’s interests, curiosities and topics that we want to explore further with experts, but how to hone your mindset lies at its very core.

How to be a weekend warrior with Adelaide
    Are you a weekend warrior?

I try to make the most of my weekends, whether it’s adventuring, training or recharging!

I went to visit my best friend in Geneva a few weekends ago and swapped the UK’s snow for Geneva’s!

I don’t know if you’ve been to Geneva before, but I found it very challenging to organise an adventure in a short amount of time.

After a few hours of hitting my head against the brick wall, I remembered meeting Alex Narracott from Much Better Adventures, a platform that helps you to be the ultimate weekend warrior!

The day I left for Geneva, we managed to book Igloo Building and Snowshoeing with Much Better Adventures for the next day!

It was SO much fun, a fantastic way to recharge and re-energize and it helped me to understand the Norwegian philosophy of friluftsliv that I’ve been researching recently.

Friluftsliv (free-loo-sliff) loosely translates to: ‘the simple life’ or ‘open-air living’ and is a way of living in which you are interconnected to nature.

How to beat stress and anxiety with Megan Hine
I geek out in today's episode about mindset with Megan Hine - one of my true heros and after this episode, I suspect one of yours!

Meg splits her time between expedition leading and producing and running safety and survival consulting for major networks such as Discovery Channel and Nat Geo - and often with Bear Grylls.

She tells us some hair raising stories, which Meg believes shows brains conquers brawn nine times out of ten and advises that '3 seconds without thinking' should be added to the popular survival rule of 3 - and is arguably the most important.

Tune into this episode to discover what it is that makes some people survive in survival situations while others don't - and how you can influence your mind not just to survive in today's world, but to thrive.
