The Price Of A Mile: Portland 5000 Pre-Meet
THE PRICE OF A MILE IS BACK. Moh Ahmed, Lopez Lomong and I sat down before the Portland 5,000 that took place at the Nike campus on Sept. 11. We were paced by Moh for a majority of the race before I finished in 12:58.10. Lopez ran 13:00.13 and Matthew Centrowitz ran 13:00.39. We all dipped under the 2020 Olympic standard of 13:13.50. This is sort of an audio diary about how we felt before that race, how we felt coming out of the training camp, gambling in the sport, their expectations for the world championships in Doha. These are just some of the thoughts before one of the greatest moments of our lives. Definitely mine. So this is a really special podcast for me. Oh...We also talk about the social media beef with Paul Chelimo. ▶ Follow us: twitter.com/CitiusMag instagram.com/citiusmag facebook.com/citiusmag ✩ Connect with Woody twitter.com/KincaidWoody twitter.com/POAMpod instagram.com/priceofamile 📷 How Lao/ IG: @howlauphotography 👔Biz Inquiries/Write Us: [email protected]

Doesn't matter if it's Millrose. Doesn't matter if it's Dempsey. Zurich. Portland. Kate Grace has returned. And that dominance doesn't look like it's going away, either. Did we mention Chris Derrick is co-hosting? No? Well, he is. Find out why people in Portland, Oregon are stoked to welcome the 2016 Olympian to the Rose City on this edition of POAM.

    Get To Know: Moh Ahmed
Moh Ahmed transitions in life have always been seamless. The son of Somali refugees, Moh spent his early life in Kenya before moving to Canada in 2001 and discovering an innate talent for running. Get To Know: Dan Huling
Here is a good question that might win you a bet at a bar: which American distance runner has made every outdoor world’s team since 2009 but never once ran in the Olympics? Dan Huling, and all of his dry wit and wisdom, is the answer to that question. So what does a grown up version of some high school kid from the west Chicago suburbs think about the sport of running? How does someone make it from Rhode Island, to Miami, Ohio to being one of the most accomplished members of Bowerman Track Club? With the 2017 World Championships in London, England only months away you can’t help but wonder if Dan’s track record plays into his mental and physical preparation every time he toes the line to compete… Next month POAM will be interviewing one of the Bowerman women so subscribe on Itunes for the next episode.
