Have you ever found yourself responding out of irritation and frustration when your spouse or kids simply ask you a question? On today's show Nicole Zasowski describes to us what happens when we are operating in our pain cycle, how we can regulate our emotions, and why the simplest of questions can push us over the edge.
Nicole Zasowski is a marriage and family therapist outside of New York City. She is an author of Lost to Found and What If It's Wonderful, along with being a full time mom and wife. She also has a Bible Study resource coming soon through Lifeway!

We laugh, cry, and remember together as we listen to audio clips from our time in Israel that range from funny lunch conversations with the team to the memorable Coca-Cola toast Kristi gave when we wrapped filming. ABOUT KRISTI MCLELLAND
Kristi McLelland is a speaker, teacher, and college professor. Since completing her Masters of Arts in Christian Education at Dallas Theological Seminary, she has dedicated her life to discipleship, to teaching people how to study the Bible for themselves, and to writing about how God is better than we ever knew by explaining the Bible through a Middle Eastern lens. Her great desire for people to truly experience the love of God birthed a ministry in which she leads biblical study trips to Israel, Turkey, Greece, and Italy.

Today, we're sharing an episode of His Glory, Her Good, hosted by Amanda Mejias and Corinne Allen, where they talk about fighting shame with special guest "Aunt P."
Whether dealing with our own shame or helping teen girls fight shame in their lives, this is a topic that can't be avoided when leading in student ministry. In this episode with Aunt P, they talk about how to know the difference between shame and conviction from the Holy Spirit. Aunt P also shares the danger of not dealing with our own shame, as well as provides tools to help our girls recognize, talk about, and fight shame.

In Lifeway Women’s newest Bible study, Alive, you’ll walk through the basic, fundamental beliefs of the Christian faith. Blair Linne was one of the writers for the study, and one of the topics she wrote about is being a child of God. This week on MARKED, Elizabeth is joined by Laura Magness as cohost, who was one of the editors for the Alive study. They talked with Blair about our identity in Christ, and she shared what that Father/daughter relationship with God means to her, and how we can be known by God. Thanks for listening!

On Fridays in April, we're dropping an extra episode to make sure you know about some other Lifeway podcasts that we think you would enjoy. Today, we're sharing an episode of Let It Shine with Angie Elkins and Whitney Capps on tending the temple versus body positivity.
Body positivity is a social movement that promotes a positive view of all bodies, regardless of the shape, size, weight, and so forth. But we want to take it deeper. Yes, we can accept our bodies the way they are to an extent, but Angie and Whitney are here to talk about the fact that we also have a responsibility to our bodies.
Angie and Whitney have a vulnerable conversation about their own unique journeys, the complexities of our bodies, the messages we tell ourselves about them, and how we function in them as temples of the Holy Spirit.
Go follow Angie and Whitney on Instagram and share your thoughts on body positivity. Thanks for listening and sharing this episode with a friend! You can listen to more episodes of Let It Shine here.
